Introducing the Recipespaedia Page

I have been getting many requests in the past of readers looking for a specific recipe. The Recipe Categories are not as efficient as I would want, and a reader should not have to troll through so many pages, looking for one recipe.

Late last night, a good friend of mine and Dooney’s Kitchen’s resident Business Analyst (Sola O.) pinged me on BBM and advised me to list all my recipes, which will provide a richer and quicker User Experience for a reader and a prospective client who wishes to make an order. My girl has an MSc in Information Technology, Management and Organisational Change from Lancaster University to boot. One of the top four in the UK, so you know she knows what she is talking about. It had occurred to me to do this in the past, but the sheer number of hours it will take to list all the recipes, and make them hyperlinks made me shudder and I abandoned the task. It has taken me close to 6 hours so far to write out the entire list of recipes and link them.

Sola is like me, someone who doesn’t give up when she has a great idea, so till 1am this morning, we were pinging back and forth, with me listing out the recipes, she checking the pages back and forth from the viewpoint of a reader and a prospective client. This was just the support I needed, and I am truly grateful. I have some of the most amazing friends, I don’t know what I would do without them. So permit me to list their names and honour them for their contributions to this blog.

Here’s to Craig, my resident Professional Photographer, I’ll be writing a feature on him and his amazing work shortly.

Here’s to Chidy N. my resident Marketing Genius, who worked with me to create The Dooney’s Kitchen Experience.

Here’s To Aanu, my resident Baker, who has offered to contribute Baking recipes to the blog. Look out for her recipe on a truly Nigerian Sponge cake this week.

Here’s to Kemi A. K my fellow Kitchen Sister who has been very helpful and supportive

Last but not least, here’s to Sola O. my resident Business Analyst.

You guys ROCK!!!!!

If you are looking for a recipe, simply click on the Recipepaedia page HERE look through the sub pages and imediately, you will be taken to a list of dishes in that group. Each dish is a hyperlink, so simply click on the dish you want, and you will be taken straight to the recipe. For example if you are looking for my Party Jollof rice recipe, it will be listed under “Rice Dishes”. Another example, Egusi Soup will be listed under “Nigerian Soups”. Looking for my Pancake recipe, it will be listed under “Breakfast”.

If you are a prospective client, either to partake of the Meal Drop off and Pick up Service or Private Chef, now I have made it easier for you to view all my recipes in logical groupings. I will be taking this further by creating a menu page, so that at one glance you can see how the dishes will be laid out and you can make your choice.

I hope this really improves your experience of visiting this blog. Thank you all so much for being a part of The Dooney’s Kitchen Community. You guys make all the time and effort worth it. As you’ve started this journey with me, and as the blog grows bigger and bigger, I hope you’ll feel proud you were there from the beginning.
